The behind the scenes operation of Blogger was down yesterday, so I was unable to post this painting. Hopefully I will get today's painting posted later tonight.

Blogger was down... and so was I. I've been sick three times within a month so I am not sure what is going on, but I am going full tilt on the vitamins at this point. The best I felt yesterday was when I was painting. I decided to look for my Elton John CD to listen to as inspiration, but couldn't find it... which leads me to believe that what I actually had was a cassette tape! Ha! Anyway, in my search I found an old Genesis CD and an old Peter Gabriel CD, so the mood was sufficiently set for my painting session. The Elton John concert is still ringing in my mind, though, so I named this piece using lyrics from "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me". Mmmmm, love that song.

Beautiful, and great musical choices.
I sure missed seeing your work. Didn't it feel odd having blogger down? Facebook was a good alternative. Please join up.

Thank you Barbara. Yes, it was weird having Blogger down and I noticed I lost some of my comments from the last post and now this post title is showing up as blue instead of gray! Weird.

I've got my "Fan Page" for my art (spread the word ;o) ), but I don't have a personal Facebook page yet. May still do that too.

Oh, you found some great CDs to paint to. Gotta' love that classic R&R... I love your choice of Sir Elton's lyrics for the title of this beauty. Too Cool!

I missed visiting and commenting with you and several of my blogger friends over the past couple days. Google had me going through withdrawals and that just ain't nice.

Hi Don,

How funny! As I was listening to Genesis and Peter Gabriel I thought of you! Ha! I remember once I had mentioned in a post that I had been painting to Talking Heads and you said something about enjoying their music. So as I listened to this music I was imagining that you liked it too... back in the day and maybe even still.

Yes, I'm lovin' the title of this one too. Could make a good title for a future show... hmmmm.
