This is the second painting I painted yesterday. I was so excited about the first one I had to keep working. I'm really happy with this one too, so yesterday was a good day. This little series has been fun and I've used colours that have not ever really been part of my palette before. I did paint today, so for now I am going to be one painting ahead of what I am actually posting. I could put two up at once, but now if I have a day where I can't get a good photo I will have a painting on standby. I don't like showing photos that are not a good representation of the work, so now the pressure is off.

I've only just had a chance to look at this great new series - dealing with plumbers and getting an external hard drive have taken up a lot of my time and thoughts!

But I'm really struck how your 'pinks' are adding a new dimension! Wonder if you'd agree that they seem to be adding 'depth'?

You're on a roll, Nicki!

Hi Judy,

I'm glad you had time to catch up on my new series. I've been having so much fun. Sounds like you have had a lot going on!

Yes, I think adding these soft pinks has been a stretch for me, but have definitely added a dimension to my palette and what I can "say" through paint.

The daily thing can get obsessive. Just do what seems right and enjoy yourself. I love the debate though, I think I remember talking about this when you were in Toronto. So great talking to you.

That's what this feels like. Love the painting. Love all of them.

Hi Barbara,

Yes, I think it probably can. I don't feel obsessive at this point. The thirty days thing is a good trial. I think what I have learned is that even when I think I don't have time to paint... I actually do. And it feels good.

Glad you are home safe from your travels.
