All the busyness of the last several weeks has really caught up to me. I have not been feeling great over the last week; every other day I am achy, exhausted and feel flu-y. Well today I allowed myself to do nothing much more than sleep and rest. A two hour sleep this morning after getting the kids to school and then another two hour (or so!) nap this afternoon. And I am still sleepy! But I managed to get this painting done and make a decent supper for my people.

Day's End is beautiful! I love the transition of the brush strokes as you 'climb' the sky.

Kudos to you for taking some time out for yourself. We all have to take these pauses or our bodies will force them upon us.

You on a bad day are what everyone else in the world wishes for on a good day. A spectacular painting, and a decent meal for your family. Keep that under wraps girl. When I'm low, or exhausted I sure don't cook.

Hi Don,

I like the description of "climbing the sky". And I just realized I called my newest painting (#23) Transitions which was a word you mentioned in your comment. Ha!

I probably should have listened to my body sooner, but live and learn- even if the learnin' comes a bit late!

Hi Barbara,

Gosh- that is a pretty generous comment! :)

And the meal was decent, but by no means extravagant! It was more than macaroni, but way less than Beef Wellington!

Hugs,
