This is the last drawing I have to share from my two day class. On the last evening the model offered to pose for an hour of her own time. She had fulfilled the obligations of her contract, but wanted to continue for anyone still wanting to draw! She was a good egg! I decided to do a quick portrait... well, only after I ditched my first effort which was a foot study. I had to crop this one because I really misjudged the placement of her head on the paper.
I'm no Barbara Muir, Suzanne Berry or Rahina Q. yet, but I'm not giving up and I'll get there someday! Thank you for watching me on my journey.

nicki, what a great sketch! and what a wonderful model to stay and proved more time for you!!! and imagine my great surprise and warm gratitude when you referenced my name and supplied a link!! you are too kind, thank you very, very so much! happy creating my friend!
Hi Suzanne,
Yes, she was wonderful and I think she really enjoyed the group as well as the little getaway this job provided for her. In the evenings she would often be on the beach reading a book and watching the surroundings.
You are welcome for the link back, etc.! Someday I hope to be as skilled as you are with figures and portraits.

you both are excellent landscape artists and it is wonderful to see the determination to try other subjects. keep going girl, it's wonderful what you are doing!
Rahina, thank you for your encouraging words. I really appreciate it. I do feel pretty determined, I just need to continue practicing, experimenting and learning.
