Another end-of-day sky painted while sitting in an Adirondack chair in the evening after my drawing class at Emma Lake.
I've been thinking of endings a lot lately. There are endings everywhere a person turns, but what I am trying to keep my focus on is that with every ending there is a new beginning. In the case of these skies, for example, there was something unique and beautiful with each one and I enjoyed sitting beneath them so much that I really didn't want the moment to end. Of course wishing for time to stand still didn't make it happen. I am aware now that if my wish originally came true there would only be one sky painting rather than four. So, as sad as endings are one must remember that there is hope in the light of a new day.

I think I can feel my blood pressure dropping a couple of points as I gaze upon this oh so lovely image. ...*sigh*
me too! I love this one. What I see ending is a busy loud TOO HOT day. I see relief and rest in this one. : )

Sheila, thank you! What a great compliment to hear this painting had that effect!

Hi Monika,
I'm so glad you like this one! And isn't that heat something else??? And so humid! I'd like to end this day with a dip in a pool!

You and that chair made some magic happen. Now this comment has to end so I can begin to look at some more of your work that I've missed lately.

Don, as uncomfortable as it sounds, painting in the Adirondack chair really is quite comfortable. Maybe because of the back, so I can lean on it and rest. Glad you like what I did while sitting in it.
