Sometimes I Despair

Sometimes I Despair

Yup, it's the truth. Sometimes I despair. Everyone does. As R.E.M. says, "Everybody hurts sometimes". This painting came easier than the one I showed you yesterday. The memory of certain emotions are closer to the surface than others. Although I actually find the end result of this abstract quite appealing, it is perhaps a bit somber and, certainly for me, it does touch a dark place.

Your despair is beautiful -- a bit like blue hydrangeas when night descends. Please don't despair anymore. You are way too young and beautiful and talented. You are Tom Thomson's spirit and your own combined. You are Canada.

Vitamin B complex helps -- 3 big ones and salmon oil pills -- the non smelly ones. Every artist despairs I believe. The trick is how to stop.

XOXOXOXO Barbara

I like your description of this painting Barbara. I am doing much better... despairing isn't fun. Hope you are well!
