This sold in May before I had a chance to post it and now I am painting a larger version. Sometimes it is hard to scale things up, but I am only going to a 24x24 canvas so I think it will work.

The title explains it, but sometimes we get so much rain in a season that marsh waters begin to swamp the surrounding land and drown little trees along the way. Mother nature can be harsh, but also dramatically beautiful.

I delivered this one to the gallery earlier this year and it is still available for someone who gets excited about a bit of drama, a complementary palette and a reasonable price!

I love how abstracted this sky became. I love the look of the sun's energy pouring out from behind our dramatic prairie skies. In fact, it adds to the drama.

Oh, this one does it for me and I pretty much made it up! I love the earthy colours against the more vibrant ones. It creates a strong effect.

It was a dry start to the year, but the rain finally came. So did the humidity. Just ask my hair!

A fun experiment that became one of my favourites of this new batch of 8x8's. More ideas are brewing in this regard.

I recently took eleven hot-off-the-press 8x8's to my Saskatoon gallery (I had to round out the grid with one from the last batch which is why there are twelve shown). There are a few new favourites in this group. I wonder if you can guess which ones I love.
