Collecting The Light

I love evenings at the lake: a shower after a full day at the beach, BBQ supper on the deck and then out for a walk to watch the sun set (and maybe even some ice cream). Every time I see the sunlight coming through the trees I am captivated by the kaleidoscope of colours. It is almost like the branches are trying to collect the beauty of it all.

Sounds heavenly!! And beautifully captured! It reminds me of where I walk Sherlock (our Lab) every day... There is a wood at the end of our garden and at certain times of the year, the light streaming throught the array of coloured leaves is stunning!

Hi Sandra- I have painted this idea several times and I don't seem to tire of finding a way to express the light passing through the branches.
